Just like when we were kids and played with walkie-talkies, there are cell phones that work the same way. This is not a new feature of course, as Nextel has offered this type of phone for years. It worked well in large factories where a quick call was needed. But these phones were large and ugly but as time passed and phones were updated, this feature was integrated into other phones.
Mobile phone deals are everywhere now. With the economy the way it is, everyone looking to start a service or renew theirs will be happy so see a nice deal coming their way. Just keep an eye on all the added fees that the sales people throw at you so quickly.
When you get your first statement in the mail, that is when you see all the other fees that are added: state taxes, 911 connection fee, local taxes and some of them you don’t even understand. And if your deal involved a rebate, be sure to fill that our right away and get it in the mail. The longer it stays in your purse or wallet, the easier it will be for you to forget it. Then that deal you thought was so great, actually is not.

Finding a good deal when in the market for a new mobile phone isn’t difficult. Even with your current service provider, there are plenty of savings to be had. There are more options available for mobiles than anything else, with new models released every year, and everyone wanting the latest and the best. Upgrading your phone is probably an annual ritual, but even if it’s been awhile since your last cell phone purchase, it’s an easy process.
Many people choose to trade in their phone, or get cash for their old phone to use towards the next purchase. Mobile phone deals can even be found online, with cheaper prices than you can find anywhere else. There is a phone for everyone, from affordable options to the latest tech gadgets. Research your phone choices, find what is within your price range, and then choose the one that suits you best. Depending on what you primarily use your phone for, whether it be work, checking your email, or sending text messages, the best phone for you will vary. Many phones are all around capable, but some phones are geared towards specific lifestyles. Individuals who conduct business, or just use their phone casually will find the best option for them.

When it comes to unused electronics, we often forget to dispose of them properly. There are usually drop points specifically for cellphones outside of most major electronic stores. Some brands even provide free shipping if you return your unused cellphone to them. There are many reasons for this: to reduce the waste in land fills, and to reuse components, such as batteries, for other models. Considering you have no use for your old cellphone once you purchase a new one, it makes sense to get it where it needs to go.
However, there is another option that promises a reward straight to your pocket. Cash for mobile is a way to get rid of your old mobile phone, and put the money back towards the purchase of your next cellphone. This is a great way to get some quick cash, and reduce waste at the same time. If the phone is fully functional, and it’s only problem is being too outdated for your standards, it can be resold to another individual. Whether you’re out to buy a new phone or just want to get rid of your old one, give it up for some much needed cash in your wallet. Recycling with an instant reward is the best kind, after all.

There are a lot of things you should compare when looking to buy a new mobile phone handset.
- Storage – how much does it have? The new model iPhones comes with 16g or 32gb as standard, but they cannot be upgraded so it is vital that you buy the correct one as changing later will be expensive. If you are going to be carrying around a lot of music, videos and games then it would be worth checking if it is worth paying the extra for the 32gb model. Most other phones come with memory card expansion slots – you should check what the maximum is and if this will be suitable for your needs.
- Wireless internet – does it have this feature? These days, this is a deal breaker for many people. I would not consider buying a phone that didn’t allow me to quickly check my email for free on a wireless network when I am not at home or at the office.
- Bluetooth – is it available? With bluetooth you can quickly sync your phone with a laptop without the need of cables. If you use your phone as a pda or for emails this might be an important feature for you, to make sure all your data is backed up safely.
- Camera quality – almost all new phones come with a camera, but the quality can vary drastically. If you intend to make use of the camera, be sure to check if it is good enough for your purposes. The great thing here is that you can do it without leaving your desk – just search Google for “taken with my iphone”, or any other phone model you are interested in – example search here.
With so many new handsets available, and more coming out every single week, it is important to compare all the mobile phone deals before you make your purchase – it is unlikely you will be able to upgrade it until you get into the last 6 months of your contract.

With its sleek design and an abundance of features, the 3INQ1 is one of the best cheap phones out there. This phone’s best weapon in the race for sales is its Facebook integration, that is said to be the best one out there. Facebook, Windows Live and Skype contacts can be integrated with your SIM card, and you can merge all information into one contact, making it a lot easier to browse and keep in touch with all your friends. But the best news is, even with, let’s say, Skype and Facebook running at the same time the phone is still incredibly smooth, not affecting its overall performance at all. Battery life is well within average for this sort of phones, with an average of 3 days between recharges.
The downsides of this phone are the poor performance of its camera and its music player, and some will be disappointed by its lack of Wi-Fi capability. But all the IM and Facebook fiends out there will have a field day with this one.

Having the peace of mind that your iPhone is covered in any event is a peace of mind you will be grateful for. Additional insurance is a feature that can cover all the things that your iPhone warranty does not, which are often the most common occurrences when it comes to any device. iPhone insurance can offer coverage for things such as, theft, loss, and accidental damage (particularly water damage). Included in this service package, you can also rely on worldwide coverage, with free international shipping covered for the shipping of your iPhone. There is also guaranteed new replacement, and accessory coverage up to a predetermined amount.
For insurance for your iPhone, you can pay a monthly fee that covers all of these scenarios, and have the peace of mind that you will receive a new device, or repair on your damaged device, for free. However, there is often an excess fee that you pay with any validated claim. It is often a fixed fee that is applied to every claim. For example, the first £25 of each validated claim will need to be paid in order to have the rest of the costs covered by your insurance package.

The most powerful camera phones in the U.S. have been the Motorola Zine with 5 megapixels, and the Samsung Innov8 with 8 megapixels that is only available in Europe. These two have been at the top of the list… until now. Samsung is introducing the new Memoir from T-Mobile, with an impressive 8 megapixel camera that is available in the U.S.
You can instantly share your photos with direct upload support for Flickr or Photobucket. Stay connected with T-Mobiles 3G network and instant messaging with AIM, Yahoo, Gmail and more. Chatting is easy with a virtual QWERTY keyboard on its vibrant 2.6 inch touchscreen. There is even GPS, a music player, and full HTML browser. There is a microSD card slot for expandable memory, and shortcut buttons for the camera shutter, screen lock, and volume rocker that doubles as the camera’s zoom controls. You can sync with your PC and utilize the Web-based email for several providers, also stay informed with a built-in RSS reader.
All of these features come at a price; at $249.99 it is still a much better deal than its European rival, the Innov8, going for $700 or more.

Smartphones is the next generation of cellphones. Being an affective combination of a mobile and a PDA, this hybrid doesn’t disappoint in either department. If your primary use for your phone is organization, emailing, or just calls, you can have it all with a smartphone.
The Apple iPhone is the best example of a smartphone, having all the features of connectivity and organization, while performing impressively in all aspects. But Apple isn’t the only one that has perfected the smartphone. The HTC Touch Pro2 from T-Mobile is also powerful in messaging, voice capabilities, and has an elegant user interface. It also comes at a price, being targeted at T-Mobiles business professionals. The top two phones are of course the top two most expensive.
But at a more affordable price, there are other options. When talking smartphone, you can’t forget BlackBerry. Their Tour 9630 from Verizon Wireless is a top competitor with its sleek design and performance. It’s also aimed for both business users and messaging junkies. And at a similar price with similar features, the Palm Pre from Sprint also has a lot to offer. With it’s own OS developed by Palm, it competes with efficiency and accessibility. They are both priced at $149.99.
